Aldi’s read their research and can read that we have a city on the move.
But along with progress comes the same old problems .. traffic.
Poor planning right from the start set Scott Road, Goonoo Goonoo Rd on a collision course.
Council will never, ever let on the fact that they built the centre of the roundabout 1.3 metres too large.
Once again, I point out that the offer was made to council to allow for the trenches to pre-wire for traffic lights, whilst the trenches were open for telecom cable realignment.
The offer was refused.
If that pre-wire was done, the cables for traffic lights would already be there and you could have your lights before lunch.
Two balls ups in a row .. and now look what you have. Council will refute it time over, but I’m still one of the few who still remember the argument and am still alive.
I would like to ask council a public question.
Do you have any intention of doing any work on the section of highway from the Calala exit to Greg Norman Drive? When now of course the highway is now to Bergmans Lane.
It’s time for this National Party council to come good on your promise of now thirty years ago, by your then boss Ian Sinclair, and get this very long overdue four lanes. I repeat four lanes, done and completed.
Now citizens of Tamworth – just watch for the world’s greatest excuses as to why. Why not even a sod has been turned. And is it even planned?
Also let’s see if the National Party council will even bother to answer the question.
There’s no elections due – it’s a very safe seat. So you don’t have to do anything?
Let’s do a ‘strip jack’ of some of the councillors and see what they’re made of.
