Armidale and Guyra Associated Agents put the call out for local farmers to donate.
“It has been wonderful to see local farmers step up and help their fellow piers,” organiser Jon Goudge said.
“A big thank you to Bob Williamson, Brian Blake, Tom Skipper, Richard Post, Robert Wood, Gordon Yeomans, Simon Croft, Roberts & Morrow Staff, Hicks Mitre 10, Neil Clayton, AD Commodities, Nina Mills, Glen Brills, Graham & Boyd Tombs, Stephens Family, Hugh Sutherland, Jay Ogden.
Local carriers pitched in and freighted the hay for free.
“A big thank you must go out to Peter Kratz transport and Micheal Murphy, to David Marshall and also to Jock Mitchell from Hilliers Transport,” he said.
