The Year 12 student was recently informed he is a recipient of a 2017 ARU School Student Match Officials Scholarship.
He is one of only 14 students and the only student from the region to be selected for the program.
The ARU has been running the scholarship program since 1995 with the aim to raise the profile of refereeing in schools and encourage student referees to continue refereeing once they leave school.
Fisk will as part of the program will attend three seminars, one of which involves watching a Super Rugby game and then debriefing the referee, and be given the opportunity to complete a Level 2 Assistant Referee course. He will also attend the NSWJRU U14’s State Championships, where 10 of the program members will provide the match official team for every match over the three days of the carnival.
