The reigning premiers dodged a bullet on the way to a two-run triumph against Round Swamp in the preliminary final.
Colts were left lamenting after slumping from 3-80 to be all out for 92.
Opener Ed Bloomfield 47 did the bulk of the heavy lifting, but it was Lachie Fletcher’s spell which ripped the heart out of the Colts line-up.
Fletcher claimed 6-21 in 9.5 overs, highlighted by a spell of 3-1 in 10 deliveries, while Craig Lord (2-9) proved a good foil.
Round Swamp appeared to be cruising at 3-73 with Luke Wellings (30) in good touch.
But it was a case of deja vu all over again as a second batting collapse occurred.
Jacob Sherrin inspired Colts, taking 5-2 in the space of 23 deliveries for figures of 5-8, while Phil Frewen earned second billing despite his haul of 4-21.
Round Swamp were left stunned, having lost 7-17 to be all out for 90.
