The Wyong trainer won the Tab.com.au Class 1 Handicap (1280m) with Happy Go Plucky before saluting two races later, with Duck In Dubai surging late to sneak home for a short head win in the Norm Turner Electrical Class 3 Handicap (1000m).
Robert Thompson rode both and, like Denham, was the only hoop to win multiple races.
Armidale’s Stirling Osland also had a winner with Zarabeel, the bay mare coming late on the inside to pip Lucky Snow (Paul Perry) by a head in the Hollydene Estate Wines Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1750m). It was the four-year olds second win in as many starts after romping to a 10.3length win at Armidale just over a week ago.
Osland also picked up a second with Closely Related behind Scone trainer Melanie O’Gorman’s Mary’s Spirit in the Godolphin F&M Maiden Plate (1280m).
Fellow Scone trainer Bill Farrow won the first race of the day with Macmissile.
