Brothers3 and Dale Duncan featured strongly with two awards each while other favourites were recognised as well as some newcomers at the 17th annual Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards.

The winners were announced on Thursday night at the Northwest Church Auditorium.
Brothers3 won Best Group and Song of the Year for C’Mon while Dale took out Best Male Vocal and Best Bush Ballad with the Peter Simpson song My Song Nui Dat.
The people voted Dianne Lindsay as winner of Best Female Vocal while another long-term winner, Graham Rodger, took out Best Album with Territory Man.
Most Promising Future Star went to rising star Jade Holland and Best Video Clip was taken out by newly solo singer, songwriter and recording artist Troy Kemp (formerly of the long-term star duo McAlister Kemp) with his clip of A Little More Country.
The award for Best Vocal or Music Event went to Australian pioneer instrumentalist Lindsay Butler and associate musician Peggy Gilchrist for their recording of Gospel Road.
In the broadcast awards, Jane Kellaway of 2MCR FM Sydney was again voted Most Popular Country Music DJ and the duo Big Stu and MJ, who run the Planet Country program on Alive 90.5 Sydney, won Most Popular Radio Program.
