The West Australian based singer has poured her heart out on new release Long Time Coming, which she said was just that – a long time coming.
The 2016 winner of the MusicOz Australian Independent Music Awards Best Country title is offering listeners a piece of herself with the EP, out February 24.
Pearson's singing career came about by accident when she was dancing at the age of five and was invited to sing karaoke. That was when she discovered she could already hold a tune and her mum was advised to enrol her in singing lessons. The rest is history.
Her songwriting skills grew after Pearson had been jotting down thoughts and ideas for about five years before she was brave enough to see where her own songs could take her.
All roads have led her to her first appearance at the Tamworth Country Music Festival this week.
“I'm looking forward to hearing lots of different artists and immersing myself in what everyone has to offer,” she said. “I hope this will be my first of many.”
“I’ve been told my a few people how it all goes down, but you never really know until you get there.
“If you’re looking to check someone out you have never seen before – it’s always good to try new things.
“Hopefully people will walk in and enjoy what they hear and will stay a little bit longer.”
