The banks sponsorship of the program, which is an introductory program for children aged between five and nine, has enabled the TBA to cut the cost for participants.
It’s been a huge help, TBA administrator Peter McDonald said, with registrations for the current program up.
“We’ve got 45 kids registered for Term 4,” McDonald said.
“They do half a session of skills and then we give them a modified game for the last part.”
The program runs in two sessions with the Kindy’s and Year 1s and 4.30pm and the Year 2s at 5.15.
Last week representatives from the bank dropped by to see what it was all about and hand out money boxes to all the participants.
The Friendship Games grand finals will meanwhile be held this Saturday. The Friendship Games are run in conjunction with the Liberty Church and Tamworth Basketball for the local Philippine community.
