FIFA president Gianni Infantino postponed Monday's visit to Australia to attend the funeral service in Brazil for the victims of the plane crash that killed all but three members of the Chapecoense football club.

Seventy six people were killed when a LaMia flight carrying 81 people crashed near Medellin in Colombia. Aboard that flight was the Chapecoense football club travelling to Colombia to face Atletico Nacional in the Copa Sudamericana final, plus coaching staff, journalists and flight crew.
Infantino informed the FFA he will reschedule his visit to Australia at a later date.
"Mr Infantino, who had planned to attend the FIFA Under 20 Women's World Cup Final in Port Moresby this weekend, had accepted an invitation from FFA Chairman Steven Lowy AM to make a short visit to Australia," an FFA statement read.
"Mr Lowy spoke with Mr Infantino last night and asked the FIFA President to personally convey the condolences of the Australian football community to those affected in Brazil."
Infantino was set to speak publicly on Monday in Sydney after being personally invited to Australia from FFA Chairman Steven Lowy. His proposed visit followed FIFA's request for the FFA to undergo governance restructure.
