With temperatures up, over 250 kids from 37 different clubs took part in the day, which included over 1500 events according to Scully 360 vice-president Peter Ryan.
“A couple of our kids went to Woy Woy a few weeks ago for the first carnival but this was our first for the season,” Ryan said.
“We had a really great turn out for it.”
Even though it is very early in the year both the performances and attendance point to a big year for the local club.
“The Scully 360 kids did really well,” Ryan said.
“The kids got great results with a lot of PB’s already.”
Club numbers have also been up early in the season.
“Attendance is up and we have a really good committed group this season.”
“We had lots of parents and club members put in a lot of work to get the first carnival up and running and it was just a great way to start the season.”
Inverell and Narrabri will now both host meets over the next month.
