Mary Moses trains the gelding that is already a winner of six races and had an early career placing to Forget, the 2015 Group 3 Newcastle Cameron winner. It’s a Shamozzle also showed his ability with a placing to Artlee – winner of the first Country Championships Final at Royal Randwick – who progressed to a Group placing at Doomben.
A recent Canterbury Park [1550m] win and placing, along with a Warwick Farm [1600m] third suggests It’s a Shamozzle is entitled to be one of the favourites against the country stayers.
Moses put it in perspective: “While he’s at the end of his preparation, I’m hopeful he’ll still get the 2000-metres. But there’s not that many opportunities in the country for staying races to give them distance grounding.
