Principal's Message: Last week the school was visited by the External Validation panel. This panel examined where the school sits when measured against the School Excellence Framework. The framework is evidence-based and identifies explicit school practices that are directly related to continuous, school-wide improvement and better student outcomes. It provides a clear description of quality practice across the key domains of education – Learning, Teaching and Leading – to underpin and guide decision-making by principals. The panel members were most impressed by our school and agreed we are certainly delivering when measured against the School Excellence Framework.

On Thursday we hosted our first “Prep” session. It was terrific to see so many children in attendance. They had a very successful morning. They were able to meet their teacher, Mrs Cronin, and start to get to know the layout of the school. We had over twenty parents attend the information session in the Hall and enjoy yet another lovely morning tea put together by our wonderful P&C. I’d like to extend my thanks to Julia Cameron and the other pre-school staff for their support of the children as well.
This Friday we are in for a special treat. Mrs Doak has kindly organised a special Physie performance to take place at our assembly. I’ve seen many photos of our students having great fun and success at various dance competitions on FaceBook so I am certainly looking forward to seeing some dance in real life. Our assembly commences at the usual time of 12:30 and everyone is welcome.
