The two day camp and tournament includes both girls and boys teams, with the sport riding the high from its first ever Olympic appearance at Rio and the success of the Australian girls side who brought home the sports first ever Olympic gold medal.
While the National Championship games will be the main event and feature of the weekend, Friday will mostly be used to discuss off field development like culture and nutrition over a range of clinics and workshops.
The tournament itself will be played as a round robin over the three days and will see 16 teams, eight each in the boys and girls divisions, compete to be crowned Australian Champions.
Both NSW and Queensland will have three sides in each competition, with the ACT making up the other two while all teams are backed by their respective Super Rugby Franchises in the Waratahs, Reds, and Brumbies.
Following the final on Sunday an Indigenous U17 Australian squad will be selected in both the boys and girls divisions, with those sides going on to take on the best in the world.
Local up and coming rugby star Percy Duncan has been named in the NSW squad, with the selection capping off a blockbuster year for the Moree prodigy after earlier being named in the NSW Country Cockatoos squad after impressing in the 15 man game.
The camp kicks off on Friday morning, with the championships on Saturday.
