The Tamworth Orchid Society will hold its spring orchid show at Tamworth Shoppingworld from Thursday to Saturday.
On display will be cymbidium, slipper, native and catlia orchids, which should produce a colourful display.
The society is hoping that the exhibition will inspire growers to start their own collections. Members will be available each day to answer questions.
“(Orchids) are easy to grow, easy for the elderly folk to enjoy and they grow easily in Tamworth,” society secretary Cheryl Harris said.
“We can promise an abundance of colour.
The Society meets at the St. Stephens Church Hall at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month.
