Scores of ratepayers converged on Peel Street to cast their vote early at one of five pre-polling centres in the lead up to election day on September 10.
Nineteen candidates are contesting the nine seats up for grabs on Tamworth Regional Council, with all but one sitting councillor re-standing and 11 new locals throwing their hat into the ring.
Residents can now vote at the returning office on Peel Street between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Hours will extend to 8.30am to 6pm on Friday, September 9.
The Barraba and Manilla branch offices will get pre-polling started from Monday, September 5, between 8.30am and 4.30pm until Friday, September 9.
There will be shortened hours at the Nundle branch office, where voters can get in from 10am to 2pm from Monday, September 5. The office will close on Thursday and return to normal hours on Friday, September 9.
