Tamworth students dive into Australian book week

The Children’s Council of Australia’s Book Week is on again and the theme for this year is Australia - Story Country.

The theme has had school librarians busy creating outback features and activities for the students across the Tamworth region, including at Tamworth South Public School, pictured, where students were able to get a taste of the books on offer.

During the week our local schools will celebrate reading by encouraging students to dress up in the costumes of their favourite fictional characters, as well as having the opportunity to purchase a book from school library book fairs which harness this year’s outback topic.
