Unable to put a point on the board in the first half, the Bulls were down 19-0 before firing up in the second half to defeat Walcha 41-24.
“It was not the best start,” Moree first grade co-coach Simon Hall said.
“We don’t seem to kick into gear until our back’s against the wall. But once we switched on it was really good. Once we got in some quick ball and got over the advantage line, our game opened up a bit.”
Walcha first grade coach Barry Hoy said it was a game of two halves.
“They had the second half and we had the first,” he said.
“They rolled their big fellows out pretty well.”
The Bulls will now face the Narrabri Blue Boars this Saturday, to play for a spot in the grand final against the Tamworth Pirates.
