TeachMeet aims to bring teachers from all classrooms together, and the first meeting for 2016 in Tamworth had plenty of interest.
“It’s very inclusive of everyone and every system of education,” TeachMeet organiser and Tamworth-local Lisa O’Callaghan told The Leader.
“All teachers were invited and we had twenty one come on Wednesday from seven different schools.”
Mrs O’Callaghan said the meet and greet allows teachers to get a glimpse of what happens in different classrooms.
“It’s an informal way to throw up ideas about different things that are happening in classrooms in different schools in the area and it’s really nice to collaborate with some people who you wouldn’t normally get too,” she said.
We talk about lots of different issues and different things come up from what teachers are using and then they can take that back and use it at their school.
