A SERIOUS injury put her Olympic dream in jeopardy, but Tamworth born Tamworth girl Gemma Etheridge was cheering alongside her rugby 7’s team mates with a gold medal around her neck on Tuesday. The Pearls beat rivals New Zealand 24-17. Etheridge ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament for the third time in March, but recovered to join the team in Rio. More Olympics news p28
