The school commemorated the 101st anniversary of the Battle of Lone Pine and stopped to remember the locals and Australians who lost their lives.
The remembrance service is part of a program the school has taken on, to recognise our national war heroes.
It comes after staff discovered an unmarked Aleppo Pine Tree growing at the front of the school grounds, that happened to be from a seedling propagated from the original Lone Pine on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
It was later revealed local resident Fred Hillier was instrumental in bringing the tree to the area, after tracking down seedlings from an Aleppo Pine Tree in Canberra.
The tree is now the pride of the school.
The school has since been involved in several projects, including an ANZAC memorial garden, new flag poles to crown the memorial and a new mural.
