A WEST Tamworth man allegedly blew almost four times the legal limit after crashing his car on Saturday night.

About 11.30pm, Tamworth police were called to reports a black four-wheel-drive utility had crashed on Daruka Rd.
En-route, police were told a 38-year-old man was taken by a motorist to Tamworth hospital.
Officers diverted to the hospital but the driver entered the hospital and left shortly after, police were told.
Following a search, the man was found 200m away in Dean St.
When questioned, police allege he denied being the driver and provided a positive roadside breath test.
He was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station where he allegedly blew .189 – almost four times the legal limit.
He was charged with high-range PCA and had his licence suspended on the spot,.
He has been ordered to front Tamworth Local Court later this month.
The keys to the utility were also allegedly found on him during a search in custody.
