The Roos will have to be at their best against a hometown Saints desperate to rebound as well, after a shock 15 point loss to Gunnedah Bulldogs at Varley Oval, last Saturday.
The Saints lost 12.17 89 to 10.14 74 in a game where Chris Whitton kicked four goals and the likes of Damon Harrison, Thomas McGregor, Thomas Williams, Michael Gould, Taylor Desborough and Johnathon Putt excelled.
The Roos had a number of standouts with Matt Hughes (4) and Dean Hoy (6) kicking majors.
"Go to Inverell this week," Roos coach Tony Bishop told The Leader.
"Going to be a big contest.
"We expect a real hard game up there."
He is hoping for a big week of training to have his side ready, mentally and physically, for a Saints backlash.
He does, however, expect to be playing Gunnedah in the minor semi in a few weeks time. "We'll play Gunnedah here," he predicted.
