The third round of the Evocities Mountain Bike Series will be held at the Tamworth Mountain Bike Park on Sunday.
Now in its second year, the series includes races in Tamworth, Dubbo, Wagga, Orange and Bathurst.
Last year the series saw national and world champion cross country mountain bikers compete for a share of more than $80,000 in prize money.
The Stan's No Tubes Tamworth 5 Hour will cater for even more levels of rider with organisers this year introducing a 3-plus person recreation team category to the existing solo and pairs categories which will allow riders to race, recuperate, relax and have a lot of fun with their friends.
Being a five-hour endurance race, the aim, for both the solos and teams, will be to try to ride as many laps as they can in the set time period with teams riding in relay format.
The solos and pairs will race a full 10km circuit, with the 3-plus recreation teams doing a modified easier grade 6km sub-circuit with juniors 12yo-plus being most welcome to come and ride.
Tamworth Mountain Bikers have in the last 18 months been very busy with major infrastructure upgrades to the Mountain Bike Park.
