The slumping Tamworth FC and Norths will play for the Dan Haslam Cup, a trophy in honour of a young man who played for both clubs but lost his public battle with cancer, last year.
It is Tamworth FC's home game and the day will raise money for United in Compassion. It is also FC's Pink Charity Night where the fundraising will continue.
The day will feature a BBQ, raffles, cake stalls and face painting while the Pink Charity Night will feature live entertainment, two course meal, auction and lucky door prize. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased from Kurt Barrow kbarrow@lecac.com.au or 0428 613 500.
They went to Armidale on Saturday with 17 players and performed valiantly against competition leaders North Armidale, losing first grade 2-nil after many of the side had played in the 1-nil second grade loss, FC manager Greg Bartlett said.
"The majority of them did play two games," he said. "They all put in."
He is looking forward to Saturday's Dan Haslam Cup and Pink Charity Night too.
"That loss puts us behind them (Norths)," he said.
Norths coach Dave Palmer agreed it was going to be a big day.
"It will be a big game for the Haslam Cup," Palmer said. "Then we have a big game up at Armidale on Sunday (deferred game). So it's going to be a big weekend for us."
Snaring the six points with a 3-nil win in second grade against Moree was a good day for the re-building club.
The addition of Geoff Donnan, who has come down from Armidale for work, has added plenty of skill and defensive muscle in the mid field for the Men In Black. Isaac Wood's goal was probably the best of the five (plus one own goal) North scored.
FIRST GRADE: North United 40, Demon Knights 33, Oxley Vale Attunga 29, East Armidale 26, South Armidale 26, North Companions 22, Tamworth FC 19, Joeys FC 12, Moree FC 7, Namoi United 3.
