Andrew Graham Kelly faces four charges and made no application for bail in Tamworth Local Court yesterday afternoon.
The 29-year-old was not required to enter pleas to the charges of supplying methylamphetamine, possessing a prohibited drug and two counts of possessing ammunition without a permit.
Magistrate Lisa Stapleton formally refused bail and adjourned the case to later this month.
The charges stem from a car stop by the Tamworth Target Action Group on the New England Highway on Friday morning.
Officers were patrolling the highway at Kootingal when they stopped an Audi sedan about 7.30am.
After questioning a 31-year-old woman behind the wheel, police said they had cause to search the sedan and found an ice pipe and a small amount of methylamphetamine.
A short time later, police applied for and were granted a warrant to search a Kootingal property where police found dozens of small resealable bags and other drug paraphernalia.
A crime scene warrant was used to seize and search the Audi sedan which was taken to Tamworth. Officers will allege they discovered about 118g of a crystallised substance, believed to be methylamphetamine or the drug ice, inside.
The seizure is believed to have an estimated street value of more than $115,000.
