The inaugural Rock Symphony In The Vines will feature the talents of Jeff Duff, Steve Balbi and Brydon Stace, world-renowned conductor George Ellis and the Australian Symphony Orchestra.
But the real star of the show is the late, great Bowie.
“The Thin White Duke’s music lends itself beautifully to the array of colours of the orchestra,” Mr Ellis said.
“Rich textures and harmonies weave in and out of his songs, making them perfect to decorate.”
Hope Estate owner Michael Hope described the combination of rock and symphony as “a match made in heaven”.
“We’ve proven over the past seven seasons that people will travel to Hope Estate for the whole experience of top notch music in an idyllic setting,” he said.
“We are now expanding our offering into other forms of entertainment that will appeal to our patrons.
“Having had Sting and Sydney Symphony Orchestra on our grounds three years ago, we see it as a natural progression to present David Bowie’s music with the Australian Symphony Orchestra.”
