Ava Sullivan delivered a fantastic prepared speech entitled "Refugees" and a well-executed impromptu on the topic "Get Off the Couch" to take out first place in the Year 5/6 section.
Ava now progresses to the next round of the competition in term three. Congratulations Ava.
Congratulations also to Georgia Briggs and Poppy Walmsley who did a great job as part of the Year 3/4 cohort.
Mathematic Minds
On Friday, June 17, eight clever mathematicians went to Tamworth Public School to participate in a mathematics challenge day run by the Inquisitive Minds team from Sydney.
Ryan Allomes, William Aslin, Joseph Briggs, Benjamin Duddy, Zavier Fletcher, Sam Fox, Ava Sullivan and Rowan Sullivan showed persistence and creativity to solve the many brain bending problems.
They successfully worked together and with students from other schools.
Joseph and Ryan came second in the pairs challenge, and Timbumburi came second in the whole school challenge.
