A worker in a neighbouring office heard the smoke alarm sounding from a warehouse off Barnes St in Taminda just after 10am and noticed smoke billowing from the building.
Emergency services were alerted and rushed to the scene which houses an office for Inland Gaming Solutions.
Firefighters doused the blaze after an overhead sprinkler system was activated, but it destroyed the office area and left a damage bill estimated at $20,000.
Barnes St was closed to traffic for 40 minutes while the clean-up operation was under way. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
