The state member is hopeful Tuesday night's budget announ- cements will spell big things for his electorate, with many anticipated projects waiting for vital funding.
"I'm hoping for the funding to continue the redevelopment of Armidale hospital," Mr Marshall said.
"We've done the site preparation work, and it's nearing completion now and I would expect a considerable amount of money, if not the bulk remainder of the cost of that project, to be allocated in this budget to allow construction to begin.
"I would be incredibly surprised if it would be to the contrary."
Also on Mr Marshall's list is further funding for road and bridge products over much of his electorate.
"Particularly in the west of the electorate," he said.
"I'd also like to see some major funding for water and sewerage infrastructure in Bundarra, Moree, Biniguy and Ashley.
"They're submissions from the community for longstanding projects and there are projects that have come to light in the last 12 months of significance that I've requested and asked for.
"We will just wait and see however, suffice to say it will be one of the least-publicised state budgets in a very long time, because of all the attention on the federal election."
