The Local MP's sights were set on regional roads, with many requiring urgent upgrades, he said.
In addition, hospital funding and police stations were on his hit list in Gunnedah, but whether Tamworth would gain the extra $4 million needed to fund its Centre for Sporting Excellence was still unclear.
"I have significant hope being placed on funding for some of our road networks. I want to see money around the budget for the Manilla Rd upgrade around Tribe St and Jewry St," Mr Anderson told The Leader.
"Jewry St was stage three of this much greater project but, now Mr Joyce (Barnaby) has announced an election commitment that the Federal government is going to fund the bridge approaches, it is a significant boost to the project.
"I would like to see the RMS kick on now so it can start the Tribe St intersection which is a real problem.
"Still on roads, I also really want to see money allocated to overtaking lanes between Tamworth and Gunnedah on the Oxley Highway.
"I also want to see money towards upgrading the Hoss Causeway that tends to isolate Gunnedah and Tamworth as soon as we get any rain."
Mr Anderson said he hoped there would be money included in the budget for Hunter New England Health to upgrade the Gunnedah hospital along with funding for planned upgrades to the Gunnedah police station to continue.
"I doubt we will see a line item there, but I hope to see a mention of Gunnedah in the police budget," he said.
"It would be great to see money for the Gunnedah overpass. It is still in its planning works but I would certainly like to see a few million allocated towards that."
Mr Anderson said upgrades to Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School's technology block and accommodation facilities were also a budget item he wanted to see, along with general capital funding for upgrades to Tamworth and Peel High schools.
"It's still about our road works. After many years of not seeing any investment or work done on our roads during the last term of government, we need to keep focusing on these key pinch points because our city is growing.
"We need to make sure we continually upgrade our road networks to manage this increase," he said.
