ON TUESDAY, June 7 a number of students from St Mary's represented the school in the annual Gunnedah Eisteddfod Speak-Off against Gunnedah High School.

The students spoke confidently about a range of topics including; the policies of Donald Trump, the Great Barrier Reef, Millenium Development Goals, cyber-bullying and the importance of space exploration.
St Mary's took out first place in every year group and were awarded the overall Public Speaking Championship prize.

Coona Horse Expo
Five St Mary's students attended Coonabarabran Horse Expo from the June 3-7.
Miah Bryant, Philipe Altman, Saige Mitchell, Analise Martin and Anabelle Henry (along with their parents and Miss Crowley) braved the cold, wet weather to participate in various horse riding activities.
Results were:
Analise: 5th in pony hack. Annabelle 1st in hack, 3rd in Combined training division 3 and 3rd girl rider. Philipe: 3rd D grade One Day Event. Saige: 5th in the barrels. Miah: 4th and 5th A grade jump and 3rd in the pairs.
