Independents Tony Windsor and Rob Taber, along with the Greens’ Mercurius Goldstein, will outline their policies on climate change and renewable energy at the rally, which coincides with World Environment Day.
Deputy Prime Minister and New England MP Barnaby Joyce was also invited to the event, which starts at noon.
It has been organised by local community groups who want climate change to be a key issue in the local election.
