Over the years this regular event has raised thousands of dollars for this worthwhile and valued charity.
This year the students were asked to make a gold coin donation for a piece of cake and a cup of milo and they also had the option of purchasing tickets in a lolly guessing competition.
The delicious morning tea, held in the Refectory, was catered for by the admin and 'Fec staff, with the teaching and non-teaching staff requested to make a donation at the door.
Guests could purchase raffle tickets and also join in the auction for their chance to win some of the many prizes that had been so generously donated.
This year we raised over $1400 with the guessing competition money still to be added to the total.
Farrer is proud of its students and staff for their continued community involvement in the many fund raising events the school is committed to.
This is just another opportunity our school has to help one of the charities that is undertaking research into a dreadful disease that affects so many families.
