I WAS at home thinking one night about everyone else around me and their own problems, how it affects them.

I thought about how I could make a difference and even though I love my long hair I wanted to cut it all off.
I research how long my hair has to be before I can donate it for cancer wigs and found that my hair was in the length range.
I was extremely excited and when it was all coming off, I was so happy that I began to shred happy tears.

I was just going to donate my hair, but another senior student at school who had done the shave last year inspired me to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
I thought of a realistic small goal of $560 at first but ended up smashing that easily.
It had been two months and in that time I had raised $1400.
So Wednesday May 18 was the day that I shaved all my hair off. I did the shave on our assembly with the whole school watching.
I was extremely excited and when it was all coming off, I was so happy that I began to shred happy tears.
I'm still collecting donations for the next few weeks and still hope to reach $2000.
