That carnival saw some outstanding results achieved by Calrossy students with Nathan Watts taking third in the 15-years boys 50 metre freestyle, with a blistering time if 25.60 seconds.
A great achievement for Nathan, who although signed to Scully's swimming club, has trained himself this year.

After a close look at all available record books for Tamworth swimming, it appears that is the fastest freestyle dash by a Tamworth swimmer on record.
A great achievement for Nathan, who although signed to Scully's swimming club, has trained himself this year.
Kate Bolte joined Nathan in securing a place in the CIS swim team, with third in the 100 metre butterfly, just ahead of fellow school mate Jaimie Prendergast.
Our primary and secondary students also put in some fantastic performances in the Hunter Region Independent Schools Cross Country, held at Cooranbong.
Calrossy's 11 and 12-year-old girls were named age champions, with all the 11-year-old girls making it through to CIS.
In the secondary, 16-year-old girls, Sharna Tapp and Grace Barry pulled off an outstanding first and second placing to secure their positions in the HRIS cross country squad.
Ellie New came third in the 13-year-old girls, with Zac Clarke and Isaac Gunn also placing in the top four of their age divisions on the day.
More than a dozen runners across the primary and secondary will have a chance to represent their region in the CIS cross country in coming months.
Meanwhile, there has been just as much action happening off the sporting field at Calrossy recently.
Our Primary school's chess team recently competed in an Interschool Chess Challenge at Manilla, with our team of 22 boys and girls the overall highest point scorers.
Calrossy also brought home three individual chess trophies with Nathan Brown, Albert Smyth and Abbie Lewis all finishing in the top three of their age division.
