Year 12 students were the only ones left behind at Brisbane Street as they dived into exams.
Meanwhile, the rest of the girls and Year 11 from the Secondary Boys were at camp.
The Calrossy girls adventured south across the state with the year 7 girls to Lake Macquarie and the Crusaders' youth camp.
Here the girls enjoyed kayaking, sailing, abseiling, rock climbing and fishing.
The year 8 girls slept under the stars and enjoyed going bush near Pindari Dam while year 9 enjoyed the sights and sounds of Sydney with a special visit to ABC Studios and The Australian Museum.
Meantime the Year 10 girls went north and climbed Mount Warning among a series of other bush challenges.
The senior boys and girls in year 11 went on separate leadership excursions to Emu Gully, near Toowoomba, where they faced a week long experience designed along an Anzac theme.
Over four days the students undergo a series of exhausting scenarios designed to produce physical, emotional and mental pressure.
The students are encouraged to embrace the Anzac values of perseverance, mateship and self-sacrifice.
It was a timely excursion with many of the students set to kick start term two at Calrossy with an early start for the dawn service at Anzac Park.
