Last Thursday morning started with scones baked to welcome Eloura nursing home residents.
Families and their children arrived to start the day, phone calls were made, hot cross buns delivered, sorted, packed and collected by families.
The dinosaur sign for the main street roundabout was completed for the movie night and families chatted with educators and questions and requests were followed up.
When the Eloura Nursing Home residents arrived, the drumming began.
The children were brilliant.
Drumming the heartbeat rhythms (foundation rhythms) reflect the relationship that the children and the educators share with one another.
The consistency and stable rhythm of drumming promotes trust and connects us to each other.
The Eloura residents tea and coffee orders were taken by educators and Devonshire teas were served.
Birthday wishes to Oliver, Tulloch and Tina included a sing-a-long. An Easter egg hunt added to the excitement.
The morning wrapped up with many wishes of a happy Easter to everyone, saying goodbye to Eloura residents and the coordination of taxis and the community bus.
