Year 6 and Mrs Bowman created a lovely spread of tasty treats for the 14 men and ladies of the Lions Club.
The children cooked recipes they have been making this term, with the banana cake being the most popular dish.
We took the opportunity to show the members our school and garden and they had a lovely time talking to the year 6 students about the kitchen and what they learn during their weekly kitchen and garden lessons.
The club members were then treated to our monthly assembly, which included an exciting demonstration of gymnastics and science by year 5.
A certificate of appreciation was also presented to Graham Davidson, the 2015 Tamworth Lions Club president.
Graham commented on the achievements of the staff and students and later said he was so impressed with our school that the club would gladly help out with future projects.
This is certainly a community connection we hope to maintain and call on in the future. Thank you Tamworth Lions Club.
