The money was raised for the Leukemia Foundation as a result of a fantastic effort from the students at our school. Congratulations to all our students, staff and donators who banded together on Friday to raise this amount.
"Kids, if you can raise over $500 next Friday. I will dye my hair with permanent green dye," he said.
- Willow Tree Public School principal Mr Ireland
Mr Ireland set the challenge.
"Kids, if you can raise over $500 next Friday. I will dye my hair with permanent green dye," he said.
And the challenge was accepted.
The SRC got busy with ideas and all students came together to raise the required amount needed.
Thank you to Cat from Hair Haven at Willow Tree who came down to the school to dye Mr Ireland's hair.
Thank you to parents who provided yummy morning tea for students to purchase and to Mrs Barnett who cooked the barbecue. It was great to see students getting into the swing of things and enjoying the afternoon.
