This is a competition that is conducted by the National Museum of Australia and closes at the end of next term. Students will need to show the work they have been doing each fortnight if they are interested in being involved.
Blandford Horse Sports Report By Jayde Smith
IN THE morning we had gear checks and we were marshalled before we could do anything.
First we did all the hacking classes and then we did the sporting events. It was Zane’s first horse sports and he loved it. He received five ribbons and a trophy for reserve champion 9 years boys.
I came third in Keyhole and second in Post the Letter. My horse is very young and is still learning, but going really well.
Joey came fourth in the rider class and third in the hack class. We had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to Willow Tree Horse Sports on Friday.
Regional Swimming Carnival Report By Joey Reedy
RECENTLY the Dobson relay team (Jayde, Sienna, Eve and I) went to the Armidale pool for the regional swimming carnival.
We all went in the Dobson relay and Sienna also went in the senior girls’ relay.
We came seventh in the relay, and the senior girls’ relay was done at a time of two minutes and 53 seconds. We can’t wait to try and achieve state next year.
