Troy Feltham, 35, was last seen about 8am on Tuesday when he left and was heading to work in Glen Innes. He did not arrive at work and has not been seen since.
Mr Feltham was last seen wearing an orange-and-blue high-visibility shirt with his work logo for High Country Steel and Engineering embossed on it.
He was also wearing blue work pants and a black cap.
Police said it was unusual for Mr Feltham not to keep in contact with family and friends and investigators hold concerns for his welfare.
When Mr Feltham left for work on March 8, he was driving a white Holden Rodeo bearing registration plates YUU 680.
Police are urging anyone with information on Mr Feltham’s whereabouts to call local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
