Wheelchair-bound people like me can be left hanging, waiting outside for 10 minutes or more, while the able-bodied person relieves themselves.
Apparently it is okay for a non-disabled person to use a disabled toilet, according to the Disability Discrimination Act, as civil libertarians made a lot of noise, saying it was discriminatory for people with disabilities solely to use such facilities.
Yet, under the Disability Discrimination Act, an able-bodied person can’t park in a disabled parking spot.
In my opinion, only people with limited mobility or with diminished capacity and in need of help with toileting should be allowed to use disabled toilets.
Having laws that contradict each other is crazy.
