A 60 Minutes social media promotion reveals how the Sri Lankan-born beauty, who was adopted by Tamworth couple Bruce and Narelle Priddis as a baby, travels to her homeland to meet her birth mother, something her adoptive mum had always wanted for her.
Now aged 28, Roshani has come before a viewing audience of millions twice – the first time at age 21 on Australian Idol, and last year, on The X Factor – and now she’s back in the spotlight.
The pint-sized pocket rocket won over the judges and the hearts of millions as she sang her way through both series.
Raised in the Country Music Capital with older brother Justin, 34, the family was devastated to lose Roshani’s mum, who sadly passed away after a long and gracious battle with cancer.
Sharing the most heartbreaking moments of her life with the 60 Minutes team, she will also reveal some of the happiest, too, as the TV crew follows her into the recording studio as she puts the finishing touches on her debut album.
Death, Love & Life will be released tomorrow and can be purchased on iTunes and from Roshani’s online store.
No doubt her many friends and family members in Tamworth and around the country will have the tissues at hand as they laugh and cry with her, and cheer on the hometown girl made good on her incredible, life-changing journey.
Anyone who knows this gifted performer and wonderful human being will take off their hat to the way she’s conducted herself through some of the toughest times of her life with the utmost dignity and grace. 60 Minutes screens on the Nine Network tomorrow at 8.15pm.
