For the past week Peel St has rocked to the sounds of nearly 600 buskers who have created a street party atmosphere from early morning until after dark in a bid to win the $4500 in prize money up for grabs in the Toyota Landcruiser Country Music Festival busking championship.
The crowd at the final at Toyota Park will be able to vote for their favourite busker via an SMS number on the big screens from 7pm.
The winner of the people's choice award will walk away with a recording session.
Some of the biggest names in country music, including Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers and Lee Kernaghan, have kicked off their careers busking at the festival.
"I have such fond memories of my time spent busking on Peel Street. It is such a great chance for talented musicians to get their music heard," Golden Guitar finalist Troy Cassar-Daley said.
"The talent I have seen this year is outstanding."
