More than 115 events will be contested over the day and a half of competition, which gets underway at Scully Pool at 2pm this afternoon.
Swimmers from around 20 clubs will compete, including Armidale, Moree, Scone, Coonamble and Narrabri.
It is the first carnival hosted by Scully Park since the amalgamation of 360 Fitness Club and Scully Park Swim Club in October last year.
360 Scully Park president Martin Prendergast is pleased with the improvements he is seeing across all levels of swimmers since the formation of the new club.
“Over the past 12 months we have seen the overall health and fitness of the kids significantly improve and I believe this has a lot to do with the holistic approach we offer, including dry land training and nutritional advice,” Prendergast said.
“We are also very fortunate to have the expertise and dedication of our head coach, Pedro Barbosa, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the club and a proven track record coaching junior through to national level.
“The kids are really focused and looking forward to competing and I am very confident we are going to see records broken this weekend.”
360 Fitness Club owner Jay Lynch said the organisation was very impressed with the club’s achievements during its first year of operation.
“We are very pleased with the improvements we are seeing in the swimmers’ overall speed and endurance levels and this is being reflected in the great competition results being achieved,” Lynch said.
