The game was sensationally called off 15 minutes into the second half with the Magpies up by 16.
Seconds earlier, Wombats half-back Will Fernando had been sent off for a high tackle.
The game went on just one tackle more before it was halted.
While both teams squandered possession at a high rate, Glen always seemed to have the edge, scoring five tries.
Warialda winger Peter Nichols opened the scoring when he beat two would-be tacklers close to the line and Fernando added the extra two points.
As he often does, big Glen centre Craig Browne opened the account for Glen with a strong run to the line just two minutes later.
Then he added a second in the thirteenth minute.
Both tries were converted for the Magpies to lead 12-6.
Fernando scored a smart try in the 22nd minute and levelled the scores with his conversion.
Glen hooker Jamie Watts stretched out from dummy half to score under the posts and, on the half hour, big youngster Perry Stapleton came in from the wing and gapped the defence on halfway.
Stepping clear, Stapleton was too strong for fullback Matt McRae and charged over for a brilliant try.
Trailing 12-24 at the break, Warialda grabbed the first points of the second half when replacement winger Max Gill snatched an intercept and raced away from the Magpie defence.
Magpie half Ben Vidler mis-hit a kick on the final tackle but winger Ace Hollis chased hard, jumped high to recover possession and stepped through a tackle.
He drew the fullback and sent replacement Tom Say away for the try of the match with his first touch.
“We played some good footy,” Magpies coach Nick Ehsman said.
“We kept good shape but dropped too much ball. Chris (Pedlow) was our best.”
