President Brian Penrose, partner Amy O’Neill and Snow Deaves are a solid team that are proving hard to beat, having taken this coveted title in 2013 and standing as the current NSW Team Penning Champion team.
Second place went to “Valley Team Penning” representing the Hunter Valley region and third place to the Tamworth Team Penning Team of Robyn Wealand, Rex Warden and Paul McCulloch. Team Penning (or Team Yarding as it’s known in the Riverina) has firmly strengthened its place in Tamworth, with T&DTPA being arguably the first established club in Australia, formed in 1998 with an average of over 200 members per year.
“Riders just can’t get enough” TTPA publicity officer Penny Webb said .
“We welcomed the additional clubs of Peel Valley Team Penning and Manilla Team Penning, both offering an event each month in the region.”
