I WAS surprised that Peter Draper would line up with the deceit being peddled by Luke Foley and the NSW Labor Party about the lease of NSW electricity poles and wires.

(The) Telegraph quotes Labor luminaries of the past, Michael Costa, Mark Latham, Bob Carr, Morris Iemma and Martin Ferguson, endorsing NSW Premier Mike Baird’s proposal to lease 49 per cent of the state’s poles and wires to fund a comprehensive infrastructure plan for NSW as sensible and moderate.
In a recent radio interview Mark Latham said “the only conclusion any sensible person can draw is that electricity privatisation is overwhelmingly good for NSW”.
Martin Ferguson has also come out and said the misinformation we have been fed by the NSW Labor party suggesting that electricity privatisation will be to the detriment of consumers is just a lie.
Michael Costa said for two decades NSW has been cursed with dishonest debate on electricity privatisation, which has resulted in a small, privileged special interest group, the electricity unions, maintaining their advantage at the expense of the general good.
These comments now put the truth back on the front foot and outs the scare campaign being promoted within the Tamworth electorate by a certain candidate.
