Defending champions McCarthy will take on Farrer after both sides put on big scores in the 20 over competition semi.
For Farrer, Lachlan Barton knocked an excellent 57 when Farrer batted first against Calrossy at Riverside 2, while at No 1 it was Jye Paterson who hit 47 at the top of the order to set McCarthy up with both winners batting first.
For the defending champions, Jack Hannaford and Cameron Clout put in a great middle order effort to follow on from Patersons work at opener.
They finished 5 down for 143 and then bowled Calrossy out for just 62.
Paterson backed up his batting, taking two wickets from one over to finish with 2-1.
Lachlan Glasson also got two but the pick of the bowlers was Alex Cook who took 3-22 to rout the middle order.
Coach Peter Virgen said it was great to get past Calrossy after meeting them in last year’s final.
“Jye Paterson and Toby Whale set it up for us at the top,” Virgen said.
“But I was also very pleased with the middle order.”
“They were tied down early but fought back and put on runs.”
The coach will be hoping for an extra 30 or 40 runs when they meet Farrer next week.
Lachie Barton also backed up his batting with his bowling and 2-6 from three overs as they tied Oxley down.
He had danger man Toby Fox caught by Liam Rodgers and then caught Matt Bryant in fron next over to have them battling at 4-33 after Alex Roseby and Lachie Davidson also chimed in with an early wicket each.
Tom Fitzgerald (33) and Eddie Clements (27) put on some lower order runs but they were too far behind and couldn’t get the runs after 20 overs at 7-106.
The final will be played at No 1 Oval starting at 4pm next Monday.
