Michael Gary Sadler has been jailed for almost three years after Tamworth District Court found his drug dealing put him high up in the ring, dealing ice, MDMA and amphetamines in substantial amounts – often the deals were worth thousands of dollars.
Justin Anthony Heywood sat just below in the hierarchy, obtaining his drugs from the concreter, and on-selling to at least 33 customers, turning over more than $23,000 worth of ice, amphetamines and cannabis.
Then there was Cinthia Reid.
Working almost full-time, she was further down the chain and a “willing assistant” to her husband’s drug supplying, delivering illegal hits, sometimes in “the company of her children.”
The courts this week sent a stern message to Tamworth, reiterating those who supply drugs will go to jail.
Months of physical police surveillance and phone intercepts brought the ring undone in December, 2013.
An illegal gun, taser, thousands of dollars worth of drugs, a substantial amount of cash, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia has been seized, taken off Tamworth streets.
Strike Force Jenning, a three- month undercover operation by Tamworth, has seen 10 people charged, seven of whom remain behind bars while two others escaped jail, handed a suspended sentence for their minor roles in supplying ice and oxycontin.
One other woman remains before the courts, awaiting trial on supply charges.
